What You'll Do/Need

As the Reporting Analyst, youll play a unique role within the Business Intelligence team. This position requires an individual who not only loves digging deep to understand business processes, numbers and data, but also has a way with words and knows how to turn reports and spreadsheets into stories and information. You’ll directly assist our clients in understanding when and how to react to their data. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, is a must. Business leaders and project managers rely upon the Reporting Analyst’s knowledge and experience in analyzing reports to expose opportunities. You’ll have to think outside of the box, be willing to dig deep into business processes and clearly communicate numbers, context and recommendations to executive leadership. Turning data into information will be your daily mantra.

 

Responsibilities
  • Consistently monitor and evaluate reports, dashboards and KPIs to identify trends, risks, performance drops, etc. 
  • Summarize how KPIs are performing and provide effective summaries to leadership
  • Use SQL to perform ad hoc data pulls and format results for users to easily interpret what the data is telling them
  • Field business intelligence requests and dig deep to truly understand the client’s needs
  • Organize and track requests to determine the right internal team to assist
  • Create, maintain and document request and report standards
  • Migrate existing manual reports into dashboard and visualization tool for self-service
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their long-term data monitoring needs and document requirements
  • Use Excel, Power BI and other tools to create manual reports for business users
Requirements
  • Expertise with Excel Pivot Tables, data manipulation and basic data interpretation
  • Ability to thrive in rapidly changing environment and be self-motivated to grow this position
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Able to distinguish between data indicators and noise within reports and articulate findings to leadership
