What You'll Do/Need

The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for building database systems that are high-quality, scalable and high-performance to meet the demands of our rapidly growing and ever-changing environment. The DBA uses repeatable practices to ensure data availability, integrity and security. The DBA will interact with developers, business analysts, network and SAN engineers, and other teams involved in project planning, development and testing. If you’re the type of person who keeps your skills sharp, is constantly reading about new technology and participates in online communities for database administrators, then you might just be who we’re looking for.



  • Proactively monitor and optimize the performance of the database servers
  • Handle database maintenance tasks, including backups/restores, updating statistics, rebuilding indexes, etc.
  • Work with data warehouse engineers to help map data in our production databases to our data warehouse
  • Maintain system security and data integrity
  • Install, upgrade and patch the database servers
  • Work with systems engineers to ensure optimal hardware and storage subsystems
  • Develop, manage and maintain a strong disaster recovery and high-availability plan
  • Participate in code and design reviews
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and production code pushes after regular business hours


  • Experience with SQL server 2005/2008/2012, T-SQL coding and SQL server 2012 database administration
  • Experience with SQL server integration services
  • Advanced performance tuning experience
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to share information on best practices in order to help develop others
  • Ability to generate new ideas and execute on solutions
  • Tendency to seek feedback and act on it
  • Ability to seek out new challenges and growth opportunities
  • Experience in data warehouse concepts, ETL and experience in adding new elements


What’ll Make You Special
